Born in tunisia, Jacqueline Taieb has crossed the mediteraneen sea and the atlantic sea so many times that her music and lyrics have become a spicy mix of all different cultures, from arabic influences to european and american.
She wrote and composed for famous french artists as Yves Montand, Michel Fugain, Jeane Manson and Dave.
In 1986 she discovered dana dawson in new york, an african-american 15 year old singer, wrote for her the hit song "ready to follow you" and obtained for the young artist a record deal with sony music france. Results : 500 000 copies of the single "ready to follow you", and 300 000 copies of dana's album "paris, new york and me", sold in france. this standard has been released in more than 20 compilations.
She also worked with polygram france, bmg, canetti, carrere...
Her last production, layella "free" released by airplay, polygram distribution, was a chart topper in the december 1998 and january 1999 top club. It was also released on several cds: technocom 2.0, technocom 3.0, techno booster 4, mega techno (300 000 copies sold).
